Runway 27L and 27R are the preferential runways when there is a tailwind component of 5 knots or less and the runway is dry. Heathrow operates a runway alternation program, which is designed to provide relief to local residents, and the runway alternation program for 2021 is available here. Heathrow uses a minimum runway occupancy ideology, this means that ATC expects you to vacate the runway as quickly as possible.

All taxiways are able to be used by all aircraft apart from A380s. The A380 taxi restriction chart for Heathrow can be viewed here
