Circuits are operated to the west of the aerodrome to avoid overflying the town centre and buildings to the south and east of the field
Noise Abatement
Prefered option is to take off to the north on 05 or 03 and fly over the open farm land
Southerly departures are only available on runway 23, when reaching a safe height, turn east then due north and follow the railway, climbing to height 500 feet

There is gliding activity with aerotowing and winch up to 2000 feet
The approach to runway 23 overflies the gold course
