Runway 27 is the preferential runway when there is a tailwind component of 5 knots or less and the runway is dry

Circuits operate to the west of the field, remaining within the confines of the LFA (if the LFA is activated)
Local Flying Area (LFA)
The LFA is only activated when there are aviation days at the Brooklands museum
Flights may take place in the Brooklands LFA subject to the following conditions:
Flight visibility of 5km or greater
Maximum altitude of 1500 feet QNH
Aircraft remain below cloud and in sight of the ground
Notes
When the LFA is active no separation is provided by Heathrow SVFR either between aircraft flying within the LFA, or between aircraft within the LFA and other aircraft in the London CTR
Pilots of suitably equipped aircraft shall operate their transponders with altitude information when flying in the LFA when it is active
