Runway 23
Maintain runway heading until 1 nautical mile into the Solent before turning crosswind
Turn downwind when west of the beach huts and houses
Aim for the triangle copse on downwind
Turn onto base leg prior to reaching the copse and maintaining clear of built up areas
Runway 05
Remain west of the disused railway line, aiming to turn crosswind over the solar farm if at or above 500 feet QFE
Pilots should then head towards the triangular copse, turning downwind just prior to reaching the copse and maintaining clear of built up areas
Noise Abatement
Runway 23- departures
Maintain runway heading until 1 nautical mile into the Solent before turning
Runway 23- arrivals
Pilots should be no lower than height 1000 feet QFE, for a right base join, head for the Titchfield Gyratory maintaining clear of built up areas and join the right base
For a downwind join, remain south of the housing, head for the south of the copse and when on downwind head for the small triangular copse and turn onto the base leg prior to reaching the most southerly corner of the copse
Runway 05- departures
Remain west of the disused railway line, aiming to turn crosswind over the solar farm if at or above height 500 feet QFE, and head towards the triangular copse. Continue to climb to circuit height or above, remaining south of Fareham housing and turning right to overfly the Titchfield gyratory. Practice engine failures are not permitted after takeoff

Southampton controlled airspace is located 3 nautical mile to the north west of the airfield
The grass strip is not licensed and should be used at pilots discretion
Search and rescue operate from the airfield daily
Model aircraft flying operates to the south east of the aerodrome frequently
Pilots should be aware of Fleetlands heliport, which is located 2 nautical miles to the north east of the airfield and has an active ATZ
Pilots should be cautined of possible compass error when using the runway 05 B2 hold. Some aircraft may experience magnetic disturbances, affecting the heading reference system. Pilots should therefore ensure that pre-flight checks are conducted within the white box of at the holding point. When positioned for take-off from runway 05, the aircraft heading reference must be checked against the runway alignment. Any pilots that notice a compass anomaly should notify ATC as soon as possible
