Preferential Runway
Runway 27L and 27R are the preferential runways when there is a tailwind component of 5 knots or less and the runway is dry. Heathrow operates a runway alternation program, which is designed to provide relief to local residents, and the runway alternation program for 2021 is available here. Heathrow uses a minimum runway occupancy ideology, this means that ATC expects you to vacate the runway as quickly as possible.
SIDs
The initial climb for all SIDs departing Heathrow is 6000 feet
Helicopter routings
To make flying in the London CTR safer, a number of helicopter routings have been designed and published by NATS. You can view these helicopter routings here
